Located in the typical village of Zinal in the Valais Alps, our hotel is ideally situated just 300m from the Zinal-Sorebois cable car. To satisfy those eager for sport and discovery, mountain bike trails (100 km), hiking trails (100 km), downhill ski trails (250 km) and cross-country ski trails (33 km) are also nearby. The Hôtel du Besso dates back to 1890: “In Zinal, the pearl of the Val d’Anniviers, Hôtel du Besso, a small 30-bed hotel founded by Mr. Benoît Crettaz. In an excellent position. Board rates from 6 to 9 frs. In 1903, the hotel was sold to Joachim Theytaz, and the advertising of the time read: “Zinal. Telephone 2. Hôtel du Besso. Café-Restaurant. Cars and truck available to transport travelers from Sierre to Ayer. Local specialities. Moderate prices. Guides. Porters. Joachim Theytaz Guide-Owner”. Joachim, the current manager, looks forward to welcoming you to this Zinal landmark and introducing you to the latest version of the Besso.
