Located in the typical village of Zinal in the Valais Alps, our hotel is ideally situated just 300m from the Zinal-Sorebois cable car. Le Besso Historic Hotel Zinal
The Hôtel du Besso dates back to 1890: “In Zinal, the pearl of the Val d’Anniviers, Hôtel du Besso, a small 30-bed hotel founded by Mr. Benoît Crettaz. In an excellent position. Board rates from 6 to 9 frs. In 1903, the hotel was sold to Joachim Theytaz, and the advertising of the time read: “Zinal. Telephone 2. Hôtel du Besso. Café-Restaurant. Cars and truck available to transport travelers from Sierre to Ayer. Local specialities. Moderate prices. Guides. Porters. Joachim Theytaz Guide-Owner”. Ben and Joachim, the current managers, look forward to welcoming you to this Zinal landmark and introducing you to the latest version of the Besso.
